Laboratory Manual Fever

My very first lab manual as a sophomore! It's now with me. Believe me, I'm excited to write on it. I mean, I've practiced my handwriting and picked out my best black pen just for this. And now......my skull is shrinking!!! I have been searching the net for exactly three hours now and I have accomplished a grand total of....one page. Great.....just great. Only four more pages to go. Which means...three hours times four pages = 12 hours! Waaaaahhh!!!! Am I doomed to 12 hours of research???!!! =P

Approaching the Dawn of Day

Approaching the Dawn of Day

As people age many things occur. Looking at my pictures when I was a little girl, and then gazing at the mirror, I see physical changes in me; climbing up the ladder of growth and maturity.

I remember when I was younger, I was in a hurry to grow up. I always say that adults have many privileges. They can do this; we can’t do that. Adults have this; we don’t have that. Adults get what they want. But then, I realized I shouldn’t really be in a hurry to grow up. I must enjoy every minute of me experiencing life.

I observe the elderly people, it’s like they’re going back to being young. Just like how a little toddler crawls, an old person’s back gradually hunches over time then he goes back to walking as slow as the little kids do. Their way of thinking goes back to being slow like that of a child. They forget little things until they can’t even remember who you are, no matter how important you are to them. Their skin becomes wrinkled. Their body’s defenses start to weaken so they become more prone to different kinds of illnesses. Hearing and eyesight diminishes. It’s the sad truth. Yet as people age, their character still remains in them.

Everyone will age. We, too, will realize that we are going to be old someday. It will definitely come. So let’s not be in a hurry to grow up. Enjoy every moment of our lives. Let’s be happy and live life to the fullest. Let’s treasure the parts in our lives that we are strongest, because life ends just like it started

Post-Performance Assessment

Sitting right in the school's computer lab right now. We just finished taking our first performance assessment test in computer about the parts of the MS Excel window. Cold here! My workstation is two seats away from the aircon. Good thing I brought my jacket.....

Unnoticed Magic

I often find myself staring in awe at magicians whenever they perform. Some claim that their “magic” is real; while others simply say they’re only tricks that can distract people from what is really happening. Real “magic” or not, most of us can’t deny that we’re still amazed and mystified by unexplainable things such as these.

Magicians know how to perform their “magic” very well because someone taught them how. They know what move to make or what to hide because they might’ve learned it from a magic handbook. They need to use materials which often have hidden compartments to trick people into believing their “magic”.

We pay expensive prices to watch these so-called magic shows of the famous and experienced magicians; when we don’t notice that somewhere in our backyards, just behind those bushes...lies real magic.

Ever noticed how caterpillars turn into butterflies? They sleep for days inside their cocoons then after a few days...voila! The little beast turns into an amazing beauty. Nobody tells the caterpillar when or where to spin a cocoon. Nobody teaches it how to make one, either. The caterpillar itself is a magic being.

Spiders, too, are part of natural magic. Nobody teaches it how to spin a web. But yet it knows how to build an intricate piece of art. “Well, who taught a spider? A young spider knows how to spin a web without any instructions from anybody. Don’t you regard that as a miracle?” says Dr. Dorian in Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White. Don’t you agree?

First Day Like Any Other

Whoa. The start of another school year. New classmates, new teachers, new things to be frustrated about. The moment I entered our freshly designed classroom filled my heart with glee. Noises. Smiles. Annoying laughs. Ugh. I missed my classmates. I wasn't disappointed with my new Math teacher, either. She graduated from La Salle. Of all the things don't want to happen, the one I really dread is hating my Math teacher. Aside from new teachers, nothing much changed. We talked like we didn't have vacation. It was like a first day like any other school day. =)

School's In!!

Few more days then school's back. I can't wait! Our first day of classes will be on Wednesday. I'll be a high school sophomore. I can't believe I'll be back swimming in the stream of pressure again his year. I'm quite nervous, too. But still, I have to face it. School's back! Looking at the good side, I'll be seeing my friends again and I'll be enjoying. Wait...enjoying??! Kinda...I really miss my best friend. I remember when she was here, we would exchange lettersduring the first day of school. I miss her so much. But what can I do? She's in Korea now. Still....I have to face school with or without her...again. Think I could survive without a true friend? Sure, baby! Wish me luck!!!
